Our client is a leading global provider of end-to-end communication solutions for mission-critical networks in the transportation sector. They employ over 550 people across multiple office locations in Europe, with their headquarters located in Vienna. For their technology hub, they are looking for an experienced and committed system/network engineer who will be responsible for the technical implementation of cyber security measures. Your Tasks:
- Technical implementation of cyber security functionalities
- Creation of detailed design documents for the GSM-R, MCX and FRMCS solutions
- Integration of components into SIEM, PKI, and other relevant systems
- Development of comprehensive test strategies and creation of the associated test plans
- Carrying out tests both in the laboratory and on site at the customer's premises
- Implementation of hardening measures to ensure security
Your Qualifications:
- Completed studies in electrical engineering/IT/telecommunications (FH/TH) or comparable training
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the telecommunications environment
- Knowledge of cyber security requirements in the areas of LTE, 5G, FRMCS, IMS, SIP Core, MCx, virtualization
- Sound knowledge of IP, Linux, and scripting
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good knowledge of English, German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel (2-3 times in a year)
